Underwood Gives: Foundation Pledge Drive 2023-2024

HELP THE UNDERWOOD FOUNDATION RAISE $15,000 TOWARDS ITS ANNUAL FUND

Each school year, the Underwood Foundation sets a fundraising goal to achieve leading up to Giving Tuesday, the annual day of giving following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This year the holiday falls on Tuesday, November 28.

We need your help to raise $15,000 between now through December 1, 2023.

Thank you for making a recurring donation or one-time contribution below to help us reach our annual fund goal. Any monthly donation is annualized, so a gift of $10/month equates to $120 towards our goal.

With your help, these resources will directly help Underwood Elementary retain teacher and staff positions that are critical to our school and students' success!

The Underwood Foundation helps bridge the funding gap for critical staff needs at our school

The Underwood Foundation serves a critical role in the success of our school and our children. The organization's mission is to maintain the excellence of our school program by supporting initiatives which recruit and retain quality teachers, enable and bolster rich instructional programming, and sustain the educational environment.

Established as a 501c3, the Foundation supplements state and federal funding for personnel resources that support Underwood students' emotional, social, and academic needs. Over the past eight years, fundraising efforts have contributed to securing and extending students' time with elective specialists, interventionalists, custodial support, additional IAs, and more. We also fund an endowment, providing a legacy for future Unicorns.

One school, two wonderful organizations

We are fortunate to have two wonderful organizations to support the needs of our school. The Underwood PTA encourages parent, teacher and community involvement and helps organize events, resources, and activities that benefit students and families. The Underwood Foundation raises funds to supplement our school's personnel needs, helping to recruit and retain teachers and maintain programming excellence.

The Underwood GT Magnet Elementary School Foundation Tax ID/EIN# is 46-5239516. The Foundation is a 501c3 tax-exempt public charity. Contributions to the Foundation may be deductible under section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.
